“Your art speaks of healing,” said Makoto Fujimura. A few years ago after his lecture, I waited in the book signing line to show him my homemade portfolio. Graciously, he flipped through the reproductions of my artwork that I had copied on a Xerox machine. In those few moments, he named my calling: healing.
Encouraged, I began to add stories to my art. And the response to my stories has been phenomenal. Many women have told me they could not put the book down until they read all the stories in one sitting because it's so captivating.
